Begin your adventure with a guided hike up Gummer’s How, a circular rewarding hike that offers stunning panoramic views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells. Our experienced guides will lead you along well-trodden paths, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for hikers of all skill levels.

Once at the summit, take a moment to soak in the breathtaking scenery. The top of Gummer’s How provides one of the best vantage points to view the expansive Lake Windermere and the majestic Lake District landscape. Capture these unforgettable views with your camera or simply relish the peaceful atmosphere.

Following our hike, we’ll head to the picturesque town of Bowness-on-Windermere. Here, you can relax and unwind at one of the many charming cafes, enjoy freshly brewed coffee, and indulge in some delicious local treats. Stroll through the quaint streets of Bowness and discover a variety of unique shops and boutiques. Whether you’re looking for handcrafted gifts, local art, or just a souvenir to remember your adventure, Bowness has something for everyone.

On the day

8.00am - Pick-up - we will be parked waiting outside the National Express coach station on Chorlton Street, Manchester. Roughly 5 min walk from Piccadilly.

9.00am - Service stop for refreshments.

9.20am - Second pick-up at Lancaster Park and Ride.

10.30am - We arrive at the car park to begin our walk.

1pm - Depart from car park and head to Bowness on Windermere.

2pm - Depart for home.

3pm - First Drop-off at Lancaster Park and Ride.

3.10pm - Service stop for refreshments.

5.00pm - Drop-off - Arrive back at Chorlton Street, Manchester for departure. With some great memories!
