Take on Scotland's and the UK's highest mountain! Minibus Transport & Guide Included.

Very Challenging - If you are unsure please speak with us. You must have previously climbed Scafell Pike or Snowdon.

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK at 4413 ft (1345m) . This is a challenging walk but well worth the reward. Travel to and from Fort William from Manchester is included, also trained mountain guides are with you every step of the way.

We will start from Manchester, drive up to Fort William, stay the night (accommodation not included). If you wish to stay in a B&B/hotel please book yourself. For camping please book through BEE Adventures so we are all pitched together. Camping pitch is £14 per night. Hot showers, cafe, shop and bar on site.

​

Refreshed from your nights sleep we will start the walk from the Glen Nevis Valley up the pony track for our hike. The hike to the top should take approximately 3½ hours to reach the highest point in the UK!!! Following the same path down should take about the same time, then you can head into the great town of Fort William to have an explore, a drink (or rest).

​

The next day BEE Adventures team will be ready to take us back to Manchester and home safely.

Please note: Ben Nevis is a very challenging walk and a good level of fitness is required. This hike is not for beginners.

What do I need to bring?


Try to pack these items into a maximum of two bags.

​

For the Weekend:

  • Change of clothes

  • Toiletries

  • Money for food/drinks (when in town)

 

For the hike:

  • Backpack (20-40 litre max) (We can lend you this for free)

  • Waterproof Jacket and pants

  • Walking Boots/Shoes (trainers as last option)

  • Walking trousers/shorts (No Jeans)

  • Fleece

  • Warm Jacket

  • Gloves

  • Hat

  • Food (sandwiches are ideal)

  • Snacks

  • Flask with a hot drink

  • Water (minimum 1 litre)

  • Personal First Aid/medication

 

For if you are camping:

  • Cooker (We have a large stove for everyone to use)

  • Pan, cup, plate and cutlery.

  • Sleeping bag (We rent this for a small fee, just click here)

  • Sleeping mat (We rent this for a small fee, just click here)

  • Tent (We rent this for a small fee, just click here)

  • Food, tea, coffee, sugar etc

  • Warm clothes

  • Torch

On the day

Day 1

​

9:00am - We will meet at Chorlton street, Manchester. We will drive you to the start of the walk near Fort William roughly 8 hours’ drive (including stops), including three stops along the way. 1 hour long stop at Loch Lomond for some sight seeing.

​

6:00pm - Arrive in Fort William, drop off to hotels/ B&B’s then finally to the campsite.

 

Day 2

​

8:00am - Pick up for the people staying in hotels in the town

​

8:30am - We'll start at the campsite with everyone now together!

It takes approximately 4½ hours to walk 7.5km to the top of Ben Nevis for a stunning view.

We aim to be back at the Ben Nevis Pub for 6pm then drop you back in town for you to explore or rest if you wish.

Day3

​

09:00am - Pick up at the campsite.

​

09:15am - Pick up from Fort William to head back to Manchester.

​

We will drive roughly 8 hours’ drive, including three stops along the way.

​

6:15pm - Arrive back in Manchester Chorlton Street. Pizza and rest is recommended for recovery!
