Nestled in the Firth of Clyde on the west coast of Scotland, Arran is often referred to as "Scotland in Miniature" due to its diverse natural features. Upon arriving at the island, the salty breeze and breathtaking vistas will instantly welcome you. We'll settle into a well-established campsite for a restful night before taking on Arran's tallest peak the following morning.

Day 2: We'll embark on a challenging hike into Glen Rosa, a deep valley surrounded by towering peaks. Traverse through enchanting forests, babbling streams, and picturesque glens before ascending Goat Fell (874m), the island's highest peak. The summit rewards you with a panoramic view of Arran and its neighbouring isles.

Day 3: On the final day, bid farewell to the Isle of Arran, cherishing the memories of the walking adventure amidst its captivating landscapes. Depart with a heart full of experiences and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty that Scotland's "Miniature" Isle has to offer.

We will start from Manchester, drive into Scotland for the Ferry to the Isle of Arran, we'll stay 2 nights camping.

Time Hiking - 8 hours

Please note: Goat Fell is a large mountain, it is a challenging walk, and a good level of fitness is required. (Similar to Ben Nevis) This hike is not for beginners.

On the day

Day 1

​

08:20 - Depart from Chorlton Street, Manchester

10:35 - Gretna Green services (30mins service stop)

12:20 - Ardrossan ferry port arrival

13:20 - Ferry sets sail

14:20 - Arrive at Broddick, Arran and explore the Island!

Day 2

​

Goat Fell Hiking Day

​

09:00 - Depart from camp for the start of a spectacular hike! 

17:00 - Aim to finish the hike at this time

17:15 - Eat and explore in the local town

19:00 - Head back to campsite

​

Day 3

​

08:05 - Leave Campsite

08:35 - Explore a different part of the Island

10:05 - Check in for ferry

11:05 - Ferry departs from Arran

12:05 - Ferry arrives back on the mainland

14:20 - Service Stop

18:35 - Arrive back at Manchester, Chorlton Street
