This is a great walk designed anyone who wants to escape into the mountains! Minibus Transport & Guide Included.

This picturesque mountain walk a stones throw away from Grasmere Village will take us into the heart of the Lake District around the stunning fells towering the local villages.

 

The walk takes up to Helm Crag which the locals call the “Lion and the Lamb” due to the shapes at the top, then we’ll weave through the large rocks to Gibson Knott and Calf Crag (3 Wainwrights) then back down through the village of Grasmere where you can try the famous gingerbread.

This walk gives you plenty of picture opportunities. It takes approximately 6 hours to walk 13km covering 3 mountains.

 This event is in total 13km and a well-rewarded trip!

On the day

8.00am - Pick-up 1 - One of our beautiful minibuses (Pictured below) will be parked waiting outside the National Express coach station on Chorlton Street, Manchester. Roughly 5 min walk from Piccadilly.

9.00am - Pick-up 2 - Lancaster Park and Ride, we will pull up at the bus stop opposite the back car park. (Free Parking all day)

​

9:45am - Service stop for refreshments for 20 minutes.

​

10:30am - We will arrive at Grasmere car park, a little introduction from our mountain leaders about the day and then begin our walk. (Toilet facilities are available in the car park).

​

5pm - Arrive back down from walk latest with lots of smiles! Depart from car park.

​

5:45pm - Service stop for refreshments for 20 minutes.

​

6.30pm - Drop off 1 - Lancaster Park and Ride.

​

7:30pm - Drop off 2 - Arrive back at Chorlton Street, Manchester for departure. With some great memories!
